Campus Safety and Security
The Department has a Student Advisory and Students Grievance Committee to deal with general complaints.
It has a Gender Sensitization Committee to deal with the complaints pertaining to sexual harassment and to counsel the aggrieved student and to redress their grievances.
The Department tries to inculcate the values of gender equality among students by organizing seminars and conferences on such issues.
It has ensured that feminist theory and gender issues are an integral part of the curricula in most of its courses for Masters programme.
The Anti-Ragging Committee ensures zero-tolerance to incidents of ragging in the Department.
To ensure its commitment to social justice, the Department also has a SC/ST/OBC Grievance Committee and North-East Student Welfare Committee
